In recent work conducted with collaborators at Northwestern University, we demonstrated that a cavity made of Molybdenum trioxide, a 2D material, germanium and gold can manipulate the polarization of infrared light. This work leverages the crystal properties of the Molybdenum trioxide layer to manipulate polarization at a specific frequency. This frequency can be controlled using the design of the cavity.
