This past wednesday both Tristan and Sid presented at the University of Iowa Spring Undergraduate Research Festival, on their work which is being performed as part of their shared ICRU fellowship. Congratulations on a great presentation!
Sid has developed a 2D transfer tool for creating semiconductor heterostructures from 2D materials. He has used this tool to start developing structures which exploit defects in hexagonal boron nitride which could be used as quantum emitters
Tristan has been working on the development of an infrared cryogenic microscope. He has tried several designs and has been working towards a high performance and high efficiency infrared microscope.
