Biography
Ramachandra Bangari is a PhD candidate interested in the optical properties of van der Waals materials. He studies polaritons in low-symmetry van der Waals materials, such as, MoO₃, ReSe₂, and As₂Te₃, and their stacks, primarily twisted MoO₃. His research focuses on characterization of dielectric function using FTIR microscope, determining crystal orientation of low-symmetry crystals using EBSD, tuning polaritons using substrates, and simulations of polariton propagation. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
